KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all accounting operations including Credit Card/Financing A/R, A/P, GL, Inventory Accounting, Treasury Management, and Revenue Recognition
Manage and supervise accounting staff; mentor and develop team members to ensure departmental growth and performance
Ensure timely and accurate period, quarterly, and annual financial closings
Responsible for all payroll-related GL activity
Manage all Intacct/GL related updates/changes and custom reporting needs
Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Develop internal control policies, procedures, and compliance protocols
Coordinate and manage annual audits and liaise with external auditors and Signet’s Internal Audit team
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and forecasts
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
Oversee Sales Tax compliance with applicable states
Oversee the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar Finance field
7+ years of practical accounting experience in a corporate setting
Proficient use of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Previous retail or jewelry industry experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a time environment
Local to Charlotte area and available to be in the office on a hybrid schedule
