Shift5 is seeking a versatile full-time IT & Infrastructure Lead to join our growing team in Rosslyn, VA office. This role demands a breadth of knowledge and the flexibility to handle various IT tasks—from providing daily user support to administering our compact datacenter. The ideal candidate must be adept at navigating the complexities of IT systems, ensuring not only their efficiency and reliability but also their security. As an integral part of a nimble organization, this individual will be expected to wear multiple hats, seamlessly shifting from end-user troubleshooting to overseeing datacenter operations with competence and confidence.

This is a cross-functional leadership role that will shape our full technology landscape, encompassing both corporate and production infrastructure. 

Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Strategy: Design and implement robust infrastructure solutions that improve resilience and empower our workforce across corporate and customer-facing environments.  
  • IAM Leadership: Lead the development and execution of IAM strategies, including user lifecycle management, secure access controls, and governance initiatives to maintain system integrity based on least privilege access principles.  
  • SaaS Integration: Implement and manage a diverse portfolio of SaaS tools, ensuring seamless integration into the company’s technological ecosystem. Assess and enhance integrations to improve workflow efficiencies across various business units.
  • Application Development: Build creative custom applications and automations that enhance the extensibility of tools across the company.
  • User Empowerment: Act as the primary point of contact for application ownership, managing roles, permissions, and integration capabilities while empowering and educating users.

Requirements : 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and navigate ambiguity.
  • U.S. citizenship with an active U.S. Government Secret clearance, along with a commitment to maintaining such clearance.
  • Experience in network security, hardware, software, and systems administration, including IAM and SaaS tools. Proven experience implementing IAM solutions through identity providers such as Okta, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, or Google Identity.
  • Proficiency in managing productivity, collaboration, and design tools. Experience building end-to-end continuous integration solutions and strong understanding of authentication protocols.
  • Background in implementing onboarding & off-boarding automations for large enterprises.
  • Familiarity with complex compliance initiatives across applications.
  • Strong understanding of identity governance frameworks, and ability to maintain a secured local area network and attached clients in a secured facility.
  • Familiarity with risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO/SOC/NIST), as well as DoD policy, regulations, and guidelines (including CMMC). 
  • Experience deploying and managing Linux or Windows-based infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
