Position Summary
- Play an active role in the Fund Services Product Change & Transformation team – owning, developing and maintaining the data model and data lifecycle to support the Funds, and wider Services business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Champion, own and align the Fund Services Data model, within Funds Services and to Citi Standards
- Develop, model, and document the data models for the Funds business.
- Partner with Technology and Architecture to design and build seamless and integrated data solutions.
- Support planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running data programmes within Fund Services
- Optimize how Funds uses data to provide insights and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Partners with Clients to understand and quickly respond to their data needs. Proactively seeks Client feedback to influence change throughout organization.
- Utilize data insights to support the business in decision making as well as planning and budgeting for key initiatives.
- Establish collaborative and productive relationships with product management, compliance, legal, technology, operations and other supporting teams.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in either Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Modelling, or ETL
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Good understanding of the Funds domain and capabilities to make informed decisions on data related to this subject area.
- Strong analytical skills
- Prior experience of successfully delivering data related change in a complex environment whilst managing competing priorities
- Track record of working in the data space with ISO standards and development of data solutions to solve problems.
- Have an understanding of a variety of data management and data analysis software packages, databases and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with industry integration tools and their applicability in shortening the chain of custody across the investment lifecycle.
- Ability to effectively deliver under time pressure, clarifying ambiguity as needed to deliver against expectations.
- Ability to coordinate and tie break in complex and siloed organizations through Influence and develop strong relationships by driving value added change.
Education
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
- Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Modelling qualifications would be advantageous.
