We are currently seeking a full-time Trade Ally Manager II based in the Southeastern, United States to join our Energy Efficiency (EE) programs team. As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for Program Administrators and other national leaders in the energy efficiency industry. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of organizational relationships with manufacturers, distributors, contractors, retailers, and large end-users of program eligible equipment  
  • Cross-departmental collaboration and serve as go-to resource and conduit between Energy Solutions program leads, the market, and Outreach & Trade Ally Team 
  • Assist with budget development and staff management for Trade Ally Strategy team initiatives and deliverables 
  • Contribute to outreach plans for new programs (program launch) and existing programs 
  • Develop and lead improvement of metrics (KPI) and methods for tracking outreach for performance programs 
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge about the market activity, trends, and products 
  • Demonstrate ability to accurately predict market activity based on in-depth knowledge of past activity and developments with the market 
  • Leverage data from outreach analysis to determine where the company needs to focus outreach efforts 
  • Review program-level statistics, market and economic data, and regulatory activity to determine sales potential and monitor performance trends; provide recommendations to move forward 
  • Travel to trade ally/market actor locations with the goal of driving program performance, building rapport, and solidifying connection(s) 

  

Minimum qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related position(s) with a Bachelor's degree  
  • A minimum of 7 years of work experience in a related position(s) in lieu of a Bachelor's degree  
  • Excellent business acumen and communication, negotiation, and organizational skill 
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of market and market actor landscape in Energy Solutions’ Technology Programs and Products 
  • Familiarity with the HVAC and work experience from an HVAC contractor, distributor, or manufacturer preferred 
  • Ability to build relationships with market actors and trade allies and be comfortable through phone calls and face to face meetings 
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and present in primary role 
  • Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to anticipate risk and develop risk mitigation strategy proposals 
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce to track activity 
  • Willingness to conduct occasional (5%) business travel 
  • Seeking well qualified candidates based in North Carolina, South Carolina or in the Southeast region of US
  • A writing assessment will be required as part of the interview process

 

Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of  $75,000 - $90,000/Annually 

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
