The Director, Learning & Development will oversee the learning and development experience for AmeriCorps members that prepares them to serve as idealistic leaders and practitioners focused on strengthening schools and supporting students to improve performance. In this role, the L&D Director builds strategic relationships with district and local partners, works closely with the Impact Department, and manages Impact Analytics and instructional coaching staff members.Job Description

Work with headquarters teams to understand AmeriCorps learning goals, organizational approach to learning, and Corps Curriculum maps and resources
Lead Learning team in a process to continually address learning gaps
Work with Impact Directors and Impact Managers to develop and implement a portfolio learning strategy
Identify strategic opportunities to strengthen City Year work in schools
Work with Innovation team to drive AmeriCorps career and talent pathway programming for AmeriCorps members
Define how evaluation and learning resources will be used to support data-informed decision-making and drive continual improvement
Collaborate with site leadership to detail structures for a feedback or “learning loop” process
Work with site leaders to ensure adequate time, space and resources to achieve learning goals and reinforce a culture of continuous learning
Coach and develop the learning and development team with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to foster a high-performing team environment
Engage external partners and facilitators to support Learning and Development strategy and AmeriCorps Member learning experience
The salary range for this role is $70,000-$75,000.
