Department Overview

Guardian Integrated Communications Control System (ICCS) provides the backbone for emergency response in the UK & Europe. Our applications help 999 operators respond to calls from the public and dispatch out nearby responders, enabling the right response when every second counts.

As our solution has grown from a small startup to one of the leading offerings for Fire & Police agencies, our customers now trust us to solve more of their problems. We are building new products to increase the safety and efficiency of emergency response agencies, and ultimately to help our customers save lives.

Job Description

The main responsibility will be to develop, test, deliver and maintain next-generation dispatching solutions within client-server architecture with improved reliability experience. Our solution is written in C# & .NET (both .NET and .NET Framework) with Angular on the UI side and Entity Framework to handle database operations. 

Responsibilities:
Development of software solutions, ensuring that they meet business requirements throught testing efforts and are delivered on time.
Optimization of existing solutions in terms of efficiency and speed.
Maintenance of the application.

Basic Requirements

• Practical knowledge of C# language & .NET platform

• Great team player, good interpersonal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to learn new skills quickly and switch between tasks

• Self-driven and creative

• Verbal and written English communication skills

• Availability to work in our office in Kraków (Czerwone Maki 82) once per week

• Availability 32 hours per week or full time throughout the entire duration of the internship

• At least one year of cooperation

Would be a plus:

• Experience with Entity Framework

• Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum

• Bachelor’s/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or related fields
