Overview

Responsible for scheduling of field visits and communicating with patients, field staff, and other members of an interdisciplinary team to meet the goals and objectives of the department/agency. Works under moderate supervision.

Compensation Range:$20.98 - $26.23 Hourly

What You Will Do

  • Manages daily and timely scheduling, rescheduling, cancelling, and confirming field visits, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts for caregivers.
  • Addresses scheduling conflicts and finds solutions that meet patient needs and complies with staffing policies.
  • Utilizes daily visit report to identify visits to be scheduled.
  • Records scheduled visits and maintains accurate record of patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Processes completed/missed visits in the EMR system.
  • Provides instructions to patients for visit preparation.
  • Liaises and collaborates with interdisciplinary team to communicate scheduling changes in a timely manner.
  • Supports and participates in quality improvement and other activities that support the achievement of the team’s goals.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, required
  • Associate's Degree in Business or Medical Administration, preferred


Work Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year in an administrative role, required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, required
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), required
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information, required
  • Prior experience in a scheduling role within a healthcare setting, preferred
  • Experience using scheduling software and electronic health records (EHRs), preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with patients and staff, preferred
  • Excellent time management skills, preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, preferred
