About the 4EF Medical Respiratory Unit

4EF is a high-acuity Medical/Telemetry unit with a specialized respiratory focus. We are the only non‑ICU unit in the system that provides care for ventilated patients. While respiratory care is central to our work, the unit supports a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions, including:

  • COPD
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Cellulitis
  • Pneumonia

Patients on 4EF require a high level of attention—just below ICU-level care—making this an excellent environment for CNAs who want to expand their clinical skills and work on a fast-paced, team-centered unit.

  • Assist patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and overall hygiene.
