Job Description Summary

The AVS Planning Manager leads global demand, supply, and inventory planning for the AVS product portfolio. This role acts as the primary supply chain owner for AVS modalities—aligning regional commercial inputs, global manufacturing capacity, and product lifecycle decisions. You will lead a demand planning team that drives accurate forecasting, strong IBP performance, and proactive product planning to ensure optimal availability, cost, and inventory outcomes. This position works cross functionally with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Product Management, Finance, and Regional OTR teams, influencing decisions at all levels of the organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Demand & S&OP Planning

  • Lead a global demand planning team for AVS modalities, delivering detailed monthly forecasts to manufacturing and materials teams.
  • Ensure accurate product forecasts and effective flow‑down from regional OTR teams to global plants.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional partners to execute a monthly IBP cycle covering:
    • Revenue planning
    • Inventory financials
    • Unconstrained supply planning
    • Long‑term capacity planning
  • Improve forecast accuracy and support business planning & budgeting processes. Drive problem solving globally. 
  • Partner with Planning COE to improve S&OP processes, standardize, and continue AVS supply chain transformation journey. 

Supply Planning

  • Lead global supply planning for AVS modalities with monthly shipment plans across regions.
  • Partner with plant leadership, sourcing, and materials leaders to establish long‑range supply and capacity plans.
  • Support proactive discussions regarding last‑time buys, production phase‑outs, licensing timelines, and supply constraints.

Inventory Management

  • Own global finished‑goods inventory planning across plants and regional warehouses.
  • Lead inventory management for the AVS portfolio, including product phase‑in/phase‑out to minimize obsolescence risk.
  • Drive inventory performance improvements through analytics, simplification, and cross‑functional actions.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Act as the primary supply‑chain owner for the AVS product portfolio, influencing decisions with senior leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with segment leaders, finance teams, manufacturing plants, product managers, and regions to align plans with business strategy.
  • Ensure readiness and alignment for new product introductions (NPIs) and technology and equipment transfers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of supply chain or operations experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in materials, demand planning, or S&OP.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and process‑improvement skills.
  • Experience with Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.

Desired Characteristics

  • APICS, CPIM, or other supply‑chain certification.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • OMLP or equivalent leadership program graduate.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • ERP / advanced planning systems experience (Kinaxis, Oracle Preferred)
  • Background supporting global, multi‑plant product portfolios.
  • Background in sales, commercial, product management.

    We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $160,000.00-$240,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
