Build cloud solutions that help transform sleep health.

At Resmed, we're changing lives through technology that helps people breathe better and live healthier, longer lives. As an AWS Engineer, you'll join a collaborative engineering team building cloud services that support OSA Pathways in the Digital Health space. Your work will help create secure, scalable, and reliable services that support sleep-health screening, diagnosis, and treatment pathways. Working across engineering, product, data, security, and quality teams, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of backend solutions that make a meaningful impact on patients and healthcare providers. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building modern cloud-native services, and continuously improving the way software is developed and delivered, this is an opportunity to do work that matters.

The role is offered as a hybrid position with 2–3 days per week onsite in our Dublin, Sandyford office.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable backend software applications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, architects, QA, security, and data teams to deliver solutions that meet user and business needs.
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of cloud-based, serverless architectures within AWS environments.
  • Build and enhance backend capabilities that support assessment workflows, consent management, analytics, partner handoff processes, and provider or CRM integrations.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with engineering best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Support and mentor fellow engineers through collaboration and technical guidance.
  • Leverage AI-powered engineering tools to improve developer productivity across backend services, testing, infrastructure, and documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve software defects, integration challenges, and performance issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, delivery pipelines, observability, and release readiness.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline involving coding.
  • Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of object-oriented design and clean code principles.
  • Experience with AWS services, particularly serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design, authentication and authorisation concepts, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with message-brokering technologies and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience working with NoSQL and relational databases.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and monitoring or logging tools.
  • Understanding of software testing approaches, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Comfortable working in agile development environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to learn, grow, and support others.
