ROLE SUMMARY
This role will help shape, develop, and enable strategy development and execution to advance and grow Pfizer’s US/Global portfolios and the three global commercial platforms – Marketing (CMO), Medical Affairs (CMAO), and Market Access (GAV). These platforms constitute Pfizer’s commercial engine and enable execution of US/International brand commercial strategies. This role/team 1. Facilitates development of each platform’s strategic plan and roadmap, 2. Lead significant portions and workstreams of projects related to key brand/business needs, and priorities across these platforms, and 3. Provides insights and strategic direction into the market and competitive dynamics to improve business performance.
While this position reports into the Strategy & Consulting team organizationally, this person will partner closely with the Platform leadership teams, stay connected to key business challenges and opportunities, and ensure that there is alignment with strategic priorities, or adjust priorities where necessary
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with Platform leaders and/or platform functions to understand and leverage value drivers and develop business strategies at a global and local level.
Tee up/frame the right questions and decision frameworks, identify alternative scenarios, articulate resulting implications, and develop recommendations for decision-making or action planning
Lead and manage workstreams and small project teams. Build timelines, manage scope and capacity, identify and mitigate risks in workstream and project
Leverage qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to derive and present insights from data and build narratives
Provide perspective on the potential impact of external market signals that could impact future business performance. Develop expertise in market dynamics and identify market trends to appropriately assess opportunities and guide strategic direction.
Actively participate in building the culture and internal capabilities of the Strategy & Consulting team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of relevant life sciences or healthcare experience, OR advanced degree (Masters, PhD, MD or equivalent) plus 4 years of relevant healthcare experience.
Prior experience in/or exposure to Marketing (CMO), Medical Affairs (CMAO), and/or Market Access (GAV) is preferred.
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including mastery in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to work with and communicate complex information and distill into a framework that facilitates decision making.
Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders without direct authority (Brand and Functional leads).
Ability to understand and translate market and competitive dynamics into strategic implications for platforms and BUs.
Demonstrated project management skills in complex cross functional workstreams or projects.
Ability to oversee day-to-day work of junior resources, including providing project level coaching, and development.
Basic understanding of finance and P&L implications of strategies.
Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and lead with indirect authority.
Strong command of English language, spoken and written
Additional Information:
This is not a remote-eligible role. The position will be physically tied to the New York office.

Work Location Assignment: On Premise 2 – 3 days a week at the HQ
