The Senior Accountant will be responsible for key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, as well as fluctuation analyses for Mexico Entities and potential to expand to some NA responsibilities.
 

Responsibilities:

• Support monthly close and internal reporting process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations and ensuring that financial statements are in compliance with US GAAP

• Analyze monthly and quarterly fluctuations in operating expenses and balance sheet
• Assist with completion of internal controls associated with areas of responsibility
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
• Provide support to General Accounting group with operational analysis as related to recurring transactions and the monthly account reconciliation process
• Provide support for accounting for new business initiatives
• Assist with various projects and accounting matters and drive value within the business
• Manage fixed asset physical inventory schedules as well as adjustments to assets no longer in service, coordinate tagging of fixed assets.
• Maintenance of fixed assets (correct asset groupings, locations, etc.), support for project owners on policy guidance, overall process

• Performs other duties as required
• Implement SAP S4/Hanna
• Implementation of procedures per accounting, both GAAP and Local guidelines.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MSA / MBA a plus
• CPA a plus
• At least 4 years of public accounting and / or corporate experience at SEC registered entities
• English proficiency required
