As a Responsible AI Advisor, you ensure that our AI solutions are in line with standards of fairness, transparency, simplicity and security across all sectors. At the same time, you foster innovation and help update our practices to ensure that Desjardins is keeping up with society’s standards and expectations. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Produce and oversee red-teaming exercises for our generative AI solutions.

  • Co-define and co-pilot a responsible AI practices roadmap for the organization’s AI Centre of Excellence (CoE).

  • Design and develop reusable frameworks, tools and guides to standardize and accelerate the assessment of our AI solutions in accordance with responsible AI guidelines and best practices on the market.

  • Establish and support key processes (pre-deployment reviews, post-production monitoring, incident management) to ensure compliance with responsible AI principles and policies.

  • Play an active role in defining responsible AI principles, policies and requirements within the organization.

  • Advise contributors (product, IT, security, legal affairs, ethics) on solutions to be chosen and priorities to focus on.

  • Steer the direction of our training and awareness campaigns: clearly explain responsible AI concepts and boost the maturity level of teams and leaders.

  • Monitor our responsible AI practices on a continuous basis, and represent the AI CoE in discussions with partners and organizations to help develop our practices.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, prioritizing actions and leading responsible AI transformation initiatives.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Experience in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment (tech, legal, risk, UX, operations)

  • Experience in technology compliance or deployment of AI solutions under production

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Proficiency in analyzing and documenting bias, performance and robustness of AI systems

  • Proficiency in communication techniques and using plain language to communicate information to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Knowledge of AI models (ML/DL/LLM) and their limitations, data management and associated risks

  • Knowledge of current regulatory frameworks (AI Act , Bill 64, ISO/IEC 42001 or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of MLOps / LLMOps best practices
