The Opportunity

The Section Manager, Financial Reporting, oversees end‑to‑end financial close activities, ensures compliance with US GAAP, Philippine GAAP, and internal corporate governance policies, and drives strong financial controls and audit readiness. This position manages a team of Lead Accountants, collaborates with cross‑functional groups such as IT, Tax, Audit, and regional Finance teams, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the shared services environment. The Section Manager also serves as primary contact for internal and external auditors and provides high‑quality financial reports and insights for global stakeholders

What You Will Do

  • Manage the General Ledger and/or Financial Reporting Shared Services team supporting multiple global entities across Asia Pacific, Europe, and South America.
  • Prepare and review Flash Reports, Financial Reporting Packages, and other subsidiary deliverables.
  • Oversee and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities across all supported regions.
  • Ensures full compliance with US GAAP, Philippine GAAP, internal corporate governance policies, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborates with IT, Tax, Audit, and regional Finance teams to optimize reporting tools, strengthen internal controls, and enhance audit readiness.
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditors, internal auditors, and SOX teams.
  • Maintains strong financial controls, ensures adherence to accounting standards, and supports internal and external audits.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and support career growth.

Who You Are

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or finance (CPA an advantage)

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment
    • At least 3 years of people management or team leadership experience
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Philippine GAAP, and Philippine tax laws
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expert knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting regulations.
    • Proven experience with financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, ActiveDisclosure) is essential.
    • Strong proficiency with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
    • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and interpret complex accounting standards.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
