Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, your day involves spearheading the design, construction, and configuration of software applications. You as a Senior Java engineer serve as the main liaison for project-related communications, ensuring smooth coordination among stakeholders. Your role requires managing various aspects of application development, overseeing progress, and addressing challenges to deliver effective solutions. You engage with team members and clients to align project goals and maintain a clear focus on achieving desired outcomes throughout the development lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback.
- Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance to support their professional growth.
- To partner with application teams across the bank to enable adoption.
- Ways of Working: Independent ownership of design + delivery, Strong collaborator across Dev, SRE, Platform, and Security teams, Comfortable navigating ambiguity and prototyping with speed

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Java Full Stack Development, Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot 3.x, CI/CD with GitLab, Maven, Artifactory,
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with back-end development using Java and related frameworks and with Experience with feature flag tooling (e.g. Unleash or GitLab FF),
- Familiarity with database management and integration techniques and with Prometheus, Grafana, structured logging, correlation IDs.
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable software architectures and to Design, develop, and support our custom Java-based Chaos Engineering tool also to Build production-ready modules, annotations, dashboards, and observability hooks.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies also in Security integration: Vault, safe secrets handling.
- Should drive feature-flag alternatives and integration with CI/CD pipelines.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have 10+ years of experience in Java Full Stack Development.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
