Position Highlights:

  • Position: Collaborative Nurse, Oncology Clinic
  • Location:  Evanston Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time:  Full Time, Day shift, (8:00am - 4:30pm)
  • Hours:  40
  • Required Travel:  Traveling to other Cancer Center sites when needed- Glenbrook Hospital.
  • What you will need:

  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
  • Certification: BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required
  • Experience: Minimum 1-year Oncology experience required; Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.

  • What you will do:

  • Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients
  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
  • Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their condition periodically
  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
  • Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
  • Collaborate with assigned physician to facilitate effective clinic operations
  • Coordinate communications with patient and provider including symptom management
  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
