The RAPID ACCESS UNIT is a 24/7 "rapid-access" mental health and substance-use clinic, serving as an alternative to hospital Emergency Departments for individuals experiencing psychiatric or substance-use related crises. Your nursing skills and compassionate approach will be instrumental in assessing, documenting, and monitoring the medical needs of clients, ensuring their safety and well-being during these challenging times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct standard nursing duties, including temperature and blood pressure checks
  • Interview clients and families to gather comprehensive medical and medication histories
  • Provide thorough documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
  • Monitor Medication Administration Records (MARs) and Physician Orders (POs)
  • Serve as a reliable resource for nursing and medical matters during crisis situations

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques (preferred)
