About The Role
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a proven track record of building world class scalable systems that exceed customer needs while achieving business goals. In this position, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product and Design teams to enhance our expanding range of product offerings. Additionally, you will develop applications and tools essential for effectively supporting our overall business operations and ensuring the quality of our data and services. This role will be directly responsible for architecting, designing, scoping, building, maintaining, and iterating on the underlying systems needed to deliver world class finance products and features. The role will be located in Bangalore, India.
Your Day:
Be part of an agile scrum team and demonstrate constant progress through proof of concept, sandboxing and prototyping
Implement scalable, maintainable, secure and reusable strategic solutions
Estimate timelines, perform task breakdown, scoping, design, implementation for mid-to-large scale products and complex multi-month deliverables with insightful strategic approaches
Seek opportunities in our day-to-day workflow and process to improve quality and efficiency from initial ideation to deployment
Present and communicate across the team to showcase progress, share knowledge and evangelize best practices
Perform code reviews for your peers where they will learn from your experience and guidance contributing to collaborative working models
Recommend approaches to solving complex problems and use new technologies to achieve goals
Own, deploy, monitor, and operate large-scale production systems distributed across the globe.
Mentor junior engineers in the process of building production grade systems and applications which scale and perform
Requirements (must have):
BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science or a related major
5-9 years industry experience as a Back End Engineer
Deep functional knowledge and hands on experience with the following technologies (or equivalent); Java, J2EE, mySQL, Spring, RESTful Web Services, Apache Storm, Apache Spark, GraphQL, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS services
Experience implementing large scale, highly integrated, distributed data acquisition, ingestion, publishing, storing and serving systems
Ability to implement multi-layered, scaled applications using AWS native services
Advantageous to have the following:
Machine learning, AI, statistics, information retrieval, linguistic and sentimental analysis
Experience with containerization technology (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
Development experience in public cloud infrastructure like GCP or AWS
