Sales – Trade & Working Capital Transaction Banking Specialist II

Country: France

Product specialist: Front office for T&WCS in Paris

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Head of the T&CWS team in Paris. As a GTB Junior Associate, you will support the senior T&WC officers on developing the T&WC relationship with a portfolio of blue-chip clients in a defined industry.

  • Proactively identify and originate trade finance solutions (structured trade, guarantees, letters of credit, prepayments, supply chain finance, inventory solutions, receivables discounting) along with the senior T&WC officers and the bankers.

  • Along with the senior T&WC officers, propose acceptable structures, negotiate terms with clients and prepare term sheets. Work with legal counsel on documentation.

  • Coordinate with other teams (Products, Middle Office, Risk, Methodology, Legal, Private Debt Mobilization, Syndications, Correspondent banks, Compliance) to insure smooth handling of transactions.

  • Cross-sell Export Finance and Cash Management products whenever possible.

  • Develop and maintain along with the senior T&WC officers dynamic calling program / networking.

  • Contribute to product development initiatives, identification of incremental sales opportunities, pitches and sectorial research

Skills needed:

  • Commercial capacity and drive are a must the same as excellent time management skills and adaptability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.
  • Strong commercial/negotiation & origination skills
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial, sales oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity
  • Previous experience in T&WC products is appreciated in previous jobs
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as within a multi-cultural and cross-functional team
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Aptitude for customer service and proactive approach to customer relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English (Spanish would be appreciated but is not required)
