Job Summary
Supports actuarial analyses by gathering, validating, and analyzing data to produce meaningful business insights. Assists actuarial teams in experience studies, reporting, and day-to-day analytical activities. Ensures data quality, identifies trends and key experience drivers, and contributes to the development of actuarial models and business recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Preparation
Develop an understanding of internal and external data sources utilized for actuarial analyses and experience investigations.
Collect, compile, and organize data required for MFI business reporting and actuarial studies.
Prepare datasets for actuarial analysis by consolidating information from multiple sources.
Data Quality & Validation
Review data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
Identify data anomalies, discrepancies, and missing information.
Perform data cleansing and corrections in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Maintain documentation of validation methodologies and data assumptions.
Analysis & Reporting
Analyze summary experience information and identify key drivers impacting business performance.
Present findings in a clear and structured manner to actuarial team members.
Actuarial Support
Assist actuarial teams with routine experience analysis and actuarial activities.
Support preparation of actuarial calculations, experience investigations, and business reviews.
Contribute to continuous improvement of actuarial processes and data management practices.
Collaborate with actuarial and business teams to address data and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
Experience
0–2 years of relevant analytical, actuarial, or data-related experience.
Internship or prior exposure to insurance, reinsurance, actuarial, or financial services environments preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of data analysis and reporting techniques.
Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Python, R, or similar analytical tools is preferred.
Ability to work with large datasets and perform data validation.
