Role Definition
This Logistics Planning Engineer role focuses on optimizing warehouse storage and material flow, managing automation projects, and developing intelligent supply chain solutions such as vertical warehouse systems and AGVs. The position involves data analysis, benchmarking industry best practices, and building partnerships to improve supply chain performance, reduce costs, and enhance inventory utilization.
Responsibilities
· Supporting the design and implementation of all related logistics processes, including data purification & analysis; warehouse storage design & manufacturing point-of-use (POU) design; machinery & equipment design and procurement; workforce & equipment planning; logistics process design; inventory transfer & rearrangement planning; and integrating supply chain knowledge into warehouse design.
· Internal warehouse storage optimization and development.
· Material replenishment flow optimization.
· Warehouse automation project management.
· Identifying, defining, and implementing integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements, including building internal and external alliances to explore opportunities.
· Able to effectively develop intelligent supply chains, such as vertical warehouse systems, AGVs, automatic tooling equipment, etc.
· Establishing effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions.
· Investigating and incorporating industry benchmarks, metrics and best practices to develop optimal supply chains for suppliers and/or product sets.
· Developing and analyzing data and information to identify and prioritize opportunities for improving performance and creating more cost-effective supply chains, inventory utilization, and business partnerships.
Skills:
· Bachelor's degree or above, Mechanical or Automation Major is a plus.
· Experience in warehouse/material flow optimization and material replenishment planning.
· Experience in intelligent warehouse development, such as AGV, Vertical warehouse, automated supply chain is a plus.
· Digital Skills: Familiar with Excel, Power Bi, Power Apps, etc.
· Good communication ability in English is preferred.
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
