Position: Senior Engineer, VRF/PAC Cycle Design
Location: Wuxi, Jiangsu, China
What you will do:
- Evaluate and understand design requirements for HVAC equipment with DX coils, such as VRF, PAC, RAC, Dedicated Outside Air Systems, and Heat Pumps.
- Select appropriate components, including compressors, heat exchangers, motors, and TXVs, optimized as per ASHRAE standards and North America compliance.
- Design and develop complete HVAC products based on defined design requirements.
- Provide work estimates; plan and control the design and delivery of projects to meet objectives for project/system standards, quality, reliability, and performance.
- Responsible for all aspects of refrigeration design requirements related to AHU, RTU, and PAC.
- Collaborate with the value engineering and CAD design teams on reverse/tear down engineering projects.
- Understand and follow the product development process.
- Coordinate with project lead, product design team, and overseas clients to ensure effective execution of design requirements.
- Ensure quality and timely release of mechanical system designs.
- Coordinate with production teams for necessary product changes and timely implementation.
- Travel onsite for prototype testing and coordination as required.
- Provide training and technical mentoring to team members.
What we look for:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development in the field of Heat Transfer/Refrigeration.
- Familiarity with organizational processes and templates for assigned projects.
- Capability to apply matured project management practices and standards for assigned projects.
- Strong quality assurance background for deliverables generated.
- Ability to maintain defined quality processes and check-sheets for assigned projects.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment including AHUs, VRF, PAC, RAC, and Dedicated Outside Air Systems.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, psychometrics, thermodynamics, refrigeration cycles, and related components.
