Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Advocacy team at Marsh. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Consultant - Claims Advocacy (Property & Casualty)

We will count on you to:

  • Technically focused Claims Advocate (Property & Casualty) driving initiatives and handling complex claims. Provide claims guidance to clients on claims and assist with claims preparation

  • Work closely with clients and other claims, placing and engineering colleagues throughout the organization.

  • Ensure hands-on active claim management, problem solving, formulating settlement strategies for clients using impactful negotiation skills.

  • Provide leadership and taking ownership of complex claims is essential to project manage them to a successful conclusion.

  • Assist and support the Broking teams in retaining and the acquisition of new clients by participating in client pitches and tender meetings.

  • Liaise and work closely to develop best practice with other claims teams globally. 

  • Work closely with overseas offices and other local and regional colleagues in providing strategic, technical, and tactical claims advice

  • Foster close relationships between Broking, Claims Advocacy, Claims Solutions and claims operations to optimize client experience.

  • Monitors insurer response and engages with insurers and their professional advisers on complex queries and policy coverage discussions in order to support smooth review of claims for clients

  • Drafts communication documents for clients on policy interpretation, claims calculations and documents prepared by the clients to support the claims process

  • Development and implement revenue generation initiatives

  • Raise the profile of claims internally through delivering training, technical publications etc.

What you need to have:

  • Completed a Law Degree

  • 8 – 12 years Claims Management Experience, with detailed knowledge of market claims procedures in any field

  • Solid experience and interest in presenting complex issues to internal and external stakeholders

  • Talents with Loss Adjustment experiences are encouraged to apply

  • Able to create strong carrier relationships quickly
