Job Description:

The AVP, Global Payments & Deposits Operations is a senior operations leader responsible for the delivery, oversight, and continuous improvement of payments and deposits operations within TD Securities.

Reporting to the VP, this role is accountable for driving operational performance, managing risk and controls, and supporting the execution of the global payments strategy, while ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and transformation priorities. The AVP leads a multi-disciplinary team supporting high-volume payments processing and plays a critical role in translating strategic priorities into operational execution, ensuring stability of BAU operations alongside adoption of new capabilities, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

This role requires deep expertise in payments operations, strong execution discipline, and the ability to partner across business lines, technology, and control functions to deliver resilient, client-centric, and scalable payment and deposit solutions.

Key Qualifications & Capabilities

  • Lead and optimize end-to-end operations for Global Payments & Deposits, ensuring seamless execution across processing, incident management, and capacity planning in a high-volume, time-critical environment
  • Drive operational excellence by embedding rigorous performance standards, improving accuracy, and enhancing client outcomes at scale
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, translating enterprise priorities and client needs into targeted operational and capability enhancements
  • Embed and prioritize operational resilience within the modernization roadmap, ensuring BAU stability while advancing platform, capability, and regulatory change.
  • Lead the integration of new capabilities and transformation outcomes into BAU operations, ensuring sustainable adoption and minimal disruption to clients
  • Maintain strong governance across risk, controls, audit, and ORM, proactively identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening the control environment
  • Ensure full adherence to evolving regulatory requirements, payment standards, and internal policies, with a forward-looking view on emerging obligations
  • Lead complex remediation initiatives and continuously enhance control design and effectiveness across the payments ecosystem
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technology advancements, translating insights into actionable operational improvements
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for automation, simplification, and scalability to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • Lead readiness for business continuity, recovery, and resiliency, ensuring critical services are protected under all scenarios
  • Ensure robust controls across infrastructure, processes, and data to support essential business services and regulatory expectations

Education & Experience

  • University or college degree 
  • Significant experience in payments, operations, or financial services
  • Experience leading operational teams in a complex, regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows, risk, and control frameworks
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and evolving environment
