The Role:

Join our dynamic Product Management team at Medcan, where you’ll be the voice of the customer, leading innovation and pricing strategy for our Membership products. Reporting to the VP, Product Management, you’ll shape double-digit growth across our subscription-based products, including Year-round Care, Dedicated Care, and M Care. You’ll own the product lifecycle and work across functions to identify, develop and launch new products and features to deepen client engagement.

Accountabilities:

1. Manage the product lifecycle for the Membership portfolio with a focus on innovation to improve client health outcomes and engagement

a. Drive client engagement and member retention through development / management of a roadmap of product launches and enhancements

b. Lead product launches and enhancements through effective planning and engagement with key stakeholders in alignment with the product development process

c. Analyze trends in financial, operational and sales & marketing performance to identify opportunities for improvement to client experience, revenue growth and/or profitability

d. Facilitate cross-functional alignment on the product roadmap and report to the Executive team as required

2. Deeply understand customers, competitors and market trends to guide product strategy, innovation and pricing

a. Gain insight about member segments, usage, wants and needs through analysis of client behaviour, survey data and regular engagement with front-line stakeholders

b. Evolve the member journey through Medcan, in partnership with Operations, by identifying new / enhanced opportunities to engage and retain clients

c. Conduct ongoing analysis of direct and aspirational (e.g. global) competitors to inform product, pricing, sales and marketing strategy

d. Be an authority on emerging trends in primary care through independent research, meetings with relevant industry players / prospective partners, and relevant events

3. Develop pricing strategies to deliver client value and support business objectives

a. Leverage customer and market insights to develop pricing that complements the product strategy and supports growth and retention

b. Partner with Finance & Analytics to evaluate pricing changes to ensure competitiveness and profitability

c. Collaborate with sales and marketing to align on pricing and market positioning

Requirements:

· Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree in Business or other relevant field

· 3-5 years of relevant experience in brand or product management, healthcare, management consulting, or a combination thereof

· Specific experience in managing/growing a recurring revenue-based (subscription-type) business, including feature enhancements and pricing, is a definite plus

· Highly organized with a proven ability to deliver results in a timely basis with minimal supervision

· Data-driven and comfortable translating quantitative and qualitative analysis into actionable insights and recommendations

· Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at defining a problem and working collaboratively to identify and implement practical solutions

· Flexibility to respond to changing business priorities

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required

This is a full-time role, hybrid role (two days in the office) that is scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday.
