We are looking for two Buyer II's to be a part of our Nike Unite (Nike Factory Stores) Merchandising Team. You will be responsible for supporting our Senior & Lead Merchants to drive results in season and develop assortment strategies for the future. Key responsibilities include managing monthly markdowns, weekly closeout shopping, weekly promotion execution, and building new store assortments. The role will also play a key part in helping to support the Senior & Lead Merchants as they build assortment strategies for future seasons. A successful Buyer II will thrive and contribute to an inclusive, positive, and progressive team dynamic. The role requires the ability to partner, communicate, and influence key cross-functional partners (Nike Unite Buyers & LT, Planning & Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations teams, Brand Marketing, and Global Unite Merchants) to bring to life the end in mind vision of the assortment to best serve our Nike consumers. Strong sense of business acumen, the ability to manage and drive multiple seasons, and a deep understanding of trend, consumer, and marketplace will be critical to this role.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
We work closely with fellow merchants, buyers and cross-functional teams within Nike Direct; in particular Stores Buying, Global Unite Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Brand Marketing, and Digital Buying. We also work with finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on business reporting which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviors.
You will report to the Sr. Manager of either the Men’s or Kid’s team.

The candidate should possess proven retail competence and analytical abilities, have an understanding of retail environments, and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In-season, you’ll work closely with Senior & Lead Buyers to help bring the seasonal assortments to life in Nike Direct Value Stores through weekly closeout shopping, monthly markdown execution, and weekly promotion actions. You’ll also support the Senior & Lead Buyers pre-season work by managing whiteboards, seasonal adoption files, and creating slides to support Assortment/Buy Review meetings.
