Sandvik Mining and Construction DRC is a Sales Unit based in Lubumbashi, within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a Business Area, a leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and support for the mining industry. Your mission

In the role of Assistant Accountant, you assist the Financial Accountant with statutory and internal controls in preparation of the statutory accounting, internal controls monitoring & testing, compliance, and statutory audits. You also assist in the following:

• Assist the Financial Accountant in preparation of all the meetings and audits with Auditors (Tax Administration, Economy, DGRAD, DRHKAT, Statutory auditors, etc.).

• Assists with the preparation and submission of the monthly VAT return, payroll returns (CNSS, ONEM, INPP, IPR-IERE), and all applicable statutory returns.

• Assisting with preparing the quarterly and annual Corporate Income tax, and preparing taxes due to DGRAD, DRKAT, etc.

• Complete the weekly and quarterly tax reports.

• Organize and update the company’s compliance schedule and maintain the tax database.

• Coordinating and following up with the Finance team on the monthly OHADA Reporting Framework Statutory Financials documents.

• Follow up with all internal control processes and control owners updating Monthly schedules and facilitating their review.

• Communicate tax alerts for all the changes that occur in the DRC tax laws.

• Any other duties as directed by the supervisor and senior management.

Your profile 

We are looking for a person with good DRC tax and statutory return understanding and solid background from the mining or engineering business. You’ve good knowledge of Ohada and financial reporting frameworks.

As we act in a global context, you are good in both English and French; computer literacy and Aurora/SAP ERP knowledge are advantageous.
