Title: Billing Specialist – Paragon Healthcare
Location: Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of TX-PLANO, 3033 W PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH HWY, or within the state of Texas.

The Billing Specialist – Paragon Healthcare is responsible for assembling and maintaining all necessary documentation for billing purposes.
How you will make an impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Maintains billing system database.
Identifies, analyzes and reconciles discrepancies in data.
Posts to sub ledgers.
Strong analytical and math skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment within specified deadlines
Provides billing information to internal and external contacts and first line collections.
Professional and timely oral or written communication to internal and external customers.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year billing and collections experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Strong Microsoft Office skills *Excel strongly preferred.
Strong professional and timely oral or written communication with internal and external customers preferred.
Strong understanding of Explanation of Benefits, Ansi Codes, Reason Codes and Denial Codes preferred
Daily processing and reconciliation of cash receipts and postings to customer accounts, including payments made by EFT/ERA, credit card, lockbox and branch deposits as well as other adjustments to customer accounts for credits/debits and account write-offs at the line-item level preferred.
Identifies, analyzes and reconciles issues with billing, pricing or other customer service areas preferred.
Works overtime when necessary to meet department goals and objectives preferred.
