What you will do:

  • Working closely with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure contracts that are developed mitigate risk and deliver competitive advantage by knowing and following all established Company contracting policies and procedures.

  • Proactively providing advice to stakeholders regarding contracting strategies and analyzing scopes of work to determine contracting strategy.

  • Identifying potential suppliers and qualification criteria and preparing RFx (request for proposal, request for quote, etc.) packages.

  • Conducting in-depth proposal evaluation activities, completing commercial evaluations, and negotiating with suppliers.

  • Developing comprehensive contract award recommendations and facilitating contract award process.

  • Facilitating and conducting pre-proposal, proposal clarification and contract kick-off meetings with suppliers and key stakeholders.

Who you are:

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field OR significant business knowledge acquired through a combination of formal education and experience.

  • A minimum of four (4) years of related experience in the SCM field.

  • Effective communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Influencing and persuasive talents and experience negotiating commercial agreements.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment.

  • 10-20% travel.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
