Job Description:

SCOPE: Coordinates the scheduling of patient’s clinic appointments. These appointments will consist predominately of lab visits, physician or mid-level visits and external referrals or procedures. Will manage new patient referrals, schedule diagnostics & scans, as well as PET scan scheduling.

FUNCTIONS:
1. Accurately schedule patient appointments, diagnostics, & scans in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
2. Coordinate the intake of all patient referrals (outpatient and inpatient).
3. Serves as a resource for all staff, as well as a liaison between physicians and other facilities.
4. Backup Medical Assistants as needed
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

2 years’ of scheduling in a clinical setting required; Oncology experience a plus

Knowledge of medical terminology required
