Sanitation Operator

Reporting to the Sanitation Team Leader, you will support safe, efficient, and thorough sanitation of production areas to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and inspection ready facility by executing sanitation tasks, following standard operating procedures, and partnering with production teams to support a safe working environment.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

· Follow established sanitation procedures to clean and disinfect equipment, tools, and production areas.

· Prepare, mix, and use cleaning chemicals according to standards and safety guidelines.

· Dismantle and reassemble equipment for cleaning as required.

· Perform routine and deep clean sanitation tasks to meet daily and weekly schedules.

· Maintain documentation for cleaning activities and regulatory records.

· Inspect areas after cleaning to confirm compliance with sanitation and food safety standards.

· Support pest prevention efforts by upholding proper housekeeping practices.

· Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless start-up and shutdown processes.

· Operate sanitation equipment such as foaming units, pressure washers, and other cleaning tools.

· Identify and report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or deviations from sanitation expectations.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

· High school diploma or GED.

· Experience in a manufacturing, food production, or sanitation environment is helpful.

· Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, procedures, and safety practices.

· Skill in using sanitation tools and equipment in a safe manner.

· Comfort working in wet, warm, cold, or humid environments.

· Capability to lift, move, and carry materials throughout the shift.

· Team oriented approach with strong communication.

· Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and safe work practices.

Physical Requirements

More information on the essential tasks and facility will be shared during the hiring process. Please be aware that in a manufacturing environment, the noise levels can be high and the temperatures may vary. Depending on the role, physical and environmental requirements can differ but include:

· Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.

· Performing consistent repetitive tasks.

· Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.
