Together, we invest for a better future—making a difference in the lives of our clients, customers, employees, society, and shareholders. Our strategy is to build a vibrant, value-creating, purpose-led organisation, with the current and future needs of our stakeholders at the heart of all we do.

Aligned with these ambitions, we are establishing a Sustainability Reporting team within our Finance function. The team will lead the delivery of critical sustainability reporting for the group, supporting strategic delivery and meeting stakeholder needs. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with the drive, energy, and passion to help us develop our Sustainability Reporting team in Finance. We are keen to hear from candidates with sustainability reporting experience, as well as individuals with broader financial reporting backgrounds looking to develop their careers in this fast-growing area.

The Finance function, led by the Chief Financial Officer, is structured around specialist centralised teams and business-focused commercial teams. The newly created Sustainability Reporting team will sit within our External Reporting team, responsible for a range of key corporate financial and non-financial reporting, under the leadership of the Group Financial Controller.

About the Role

Initially, this team will focus on reporting linked to our Annual Report and Accounts, as well as our Sustainability and TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) report. Over time, the remit will expand to incorporate a wide range of reporting deliverables as the sustainability landscape evolves, such as CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board) S1/S2, and the UK Green Taxonomy.

As the Sustainability Reporting Production Manager, you will manage day-to-day reporting production efforts and play a key role in coordinating resources to ensure the safe and secure delivery of our external sustainability reporting disclosures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of sustainability reporting, ensuring all deliverables meet high standards of quality and are completed on time.

  • Stakeholder Management: Navigate and manage a complex stakeholder landscape, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.

  • Data Repository Management: Manage a central sustainability reporting data repository.

  • Production Control: Oversee aspects of the production control environment, ensuring robust processes are in place.

  • Integration of New Reporting Requirements: Support the handling and integration of new reporting standards and requirements.

  • ESG Ratings Support: Provide support in managing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) ratings.

  • Business Query Management: Manage and resolve business queries related to sustainability reporting.

  • Awareness of and experience with sustainability reporting requirements

  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate with confidence
