What you'll work on with us

 

• You'll contribute to the development and implementation of lab automation solutions for Covestro R&D

• You'll develop software for data interfaces, sensor integrations, and computer vision to expand the capabilities of our automation systems

• You'll design and create functional prototypes using 3D printing and conventional manufacturing methods

• In close coordination with stakeholders, you'll conduct feasibility studies for automation solutions

• You'll take responsibility for structured documentation of your results and ensure transparent communication within the project team

• You'll actively engage in an interdisciplinary environment, connecting IT, engineering, and chemistry for practical innovations

 

What convinces us about you

 

• You're enrolled in a Master's program, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable fields; a chemistry background is a plus

• Initial practical experience in data analysis, automation, or laboratory environments is desirable

• Strong programming skills in Python or a comparable language; knowledge of robotics frameworks is an advantage

• Excellent knowledge of automation technologies, sensors, and suitable interfaces

• Analytical thinking and enthusiasm for solving complex technical challenges in a structured manner

• You work in a self-motivated, communicative way and enjoy teamwork

• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken, round out your profile

 

This position is ideally to be filled starting June 2026, full-time and for a duration of 6 months. However, please let us know if this doesn't quite fit. We'll find a suitable solution.
