Application Support Engineer (UK National and willing to be DV cleared)

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Someone with broad knowledge but not specialist in App support and infrastructure.
  • Applications, End User Support.
  • Responsible for the efficient operation and support of applications within the Mechanical Design Department at MBDA UK.
  • Specializing in, identifying, and solving problems and advising users

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Support Engineer will:
  • Provide extensive end user support for Mechanical Design application at MBDA (UK) for over 3000+ users.
  • Have a working knowledge of ???.  See Skills section
  • Be responsible for delivering support across 3 UK sites – Stevenage, Bolton, and Filton.
  • Assist MBDA (UK) in the definition of best practice and processes associated with Mechanical Design applications.

Windchill administration / implementation.

  • Ideally have spent significant time administering / configuring Windchill and completed Windchill 10.2 or 11.
  • Implementation of Windchill 10.2 or above.
  • Administration of 10.2 and above.
  • Knowledge of deploying Creo Parametric/Office PDF workers.
  • Awareness of Creo Parametric / Creoview.
  • CREO Illustrate

Windows 10 OS / Windows Server OS – 2012 onwards.

Must have strong Windows OS administration knowledge.

  • Should have some basic knowledge of the following:
  • ESX VMWare.
  • ESX infrastructure.
  • ESX snapshots / restores.
  • Enterprise services.

Active Directory.

  • DFS.
  • Certificate Services / certificate keystores.
  • IIS Web services.
  • Apache Tomcat.
  • SQL
  • Some knowledge of MS SQL Server databases.
  • Knowledge of the use of SQL management studio.
  • Knowledge of SQL command language in order to perform queries and updates within SQL database.
