Job Responsibilities:

• Development of robot applications: program, test, and debugging using Python
• Design and execution of experiments to characterize current capabilities and compare against new features.
• Documentation of processes, experiments and features.
• Assist on the setup and installation of build stations and test lab setups.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or degree from a Technical College in Automation, Robotics, or Software Engineering
• Comfortable with Python. Willingness and skill to learn quickly new programming languages.
• Excellent understanding of software design practices: version control, continuous integration, unit testing, etc.
• Creative problem solving skills.
• Teamwork orientation with strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills, as well as commitment to continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated, able to estimate, update and communicate tasks and small projects with the rest of the team.
• Fluency in English. German is a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in Switzerland on a full-time basis.

Additional Desired Experience:

• Understanding of optical systems and components is a plus.
• Familiar with qualification of equipment, tools, processes and products.
• Experience programming or troubleshooting PLCs.
