How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As the Inside Sales Representative, you are the first person our customers see as they walk into our branches. You are the face of Airgas! You will sell medical, industrial, specialty gases, welding equipment, and hard goods and tools to customers. The Counter Sales Associate responds to inquiries or concerns from either walk-in customers or those customers that call in and provides additional warehouse support as needed.

Monday - Friday (Day Schedule)

In particular, you will: 

  •  Solicit sales from walk-in and telephone call-in customers assisting customers with identifying product needs and locating merchandise.

  • Accurately complete and file all required paperwork on a timely basis: document sales, quotes, or other information.

  • Enter sales & quote data into the computer and research information for customers using the computer system.

  • Receive payment for merchandise or services sold and enter sale into the computer. Responsible for payments received and adhering to all administrative and accounting-related procedures.

  • Wrap and bag purchases and help customers load merchandise into their vehicles.

  • Provide warehouse support for shipping & receiving, inventory stocking, cleaning, labeling, or other tasks.

  • Restock store merchandise as needed. Arrange stock on shelves or racks in the sales area and keep inventory in order. Mark or ticket merchandise.

  • Follow all safety procedures. Use established safety procedures for cylinder handling during exchanges and storage of cylinders.

  • Maintain showroom cleanliness by procedures set forth by management.

  • Maintain current price documentation and product literature as it becomes available.

  • Keep product knowledge current.

Are you a MATCH?

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous product, warehouse, and/or sales-related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • SAP Experience is not mandatory but preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner to explain information to customers and employees
