What will you do?
A day in the life of a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis at JanSport/ Eastpak looks a little like this.
Primary responsibility of preparing business performance analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support the Americas Wholesale and DTC channels. The Senior Financial Analyst will also be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the annual budget, the strategic plan, and analysis & reporting of monthly operating results. To succeed, this individual will leverage leadership and communication skills, advanced knowledge of financial systems and excellent attention to details.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Support the monthly forecast, reporting and analysis, the annual operating plan, and the strategic plan processes.
Maintain and develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Track and analyze Actuals vs Budget/Forecast for Sales & Margin of the Americas Wholesale and DTC channels.
Support the pricing and margin management process by providing analytics & reporting around pricing, Cost of Goods, and product/channel mix.
Drive enhancements in financial reporting and analysis as well as requisite system requirements.
Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed.
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or other quantitative/analytical disciplines.
Ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in FP&A, preferably in the retail or consumer-related industries.
Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, data management and reporting skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment & to be a team player.
Knowledge and experience in financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting with strong financial modeling skills.
Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills.
Ability to partner across functions and drive process improvements and business results.
Strong analytical ability and critical thinking skills would enable thoughtful analysis and interpretation of financial results and identification of key business issues underlying the numbers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong appreciation for culture in a values-driven business.
Location requirement: hybrid role, 3 days in office.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
MBA is a plus but not a requirement.
Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, preferably in the retail or consumer-related industries.

Hiring Range:
$74,800.00 USD - $93,500.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
