Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement supplier strategy, including supplier panel management, performance optimization, and rationalization.

  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and allocate sourcing requirements accordingly.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions in alignment with company policies and coordinate with Procurement for contract finalization and execution.

  • Manage supplier claims and commercial escalations to ensure timely resolution and risk mitigation.

  • Drive commercial sourcing activities, including cost analysis, benchmarking, negotiation preparation, and total cost modeling.

  • Deliver cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives while ensuring optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

  • Develop in-depth expertise within the assigned sourcing/commodity area and apply functional policies and strategies effectively.

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders regarding sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and commercial outcomes.

  • Provide informal guidance and knowledge sharing to new team members.

  • Influence projects, processes, and procedures within the discipline, operating with a moderate level of autonomy.

  • Exercise professional judgment in decision-making, seeking senior guidance where required.

  • Utilize analytical thinking and technical expertise to solve complex sourcing and supplier-related challenges.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions to support informed commercial decisions.

  • May support operational purchasing activities where required

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college; alternatively, a high school diploma with substantial relevant experience

  • Major experience in Sourcing and Commodity Management

  • MCIPS qualification (completed or in progress)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to plan, document, and execute sourcing strategies and programs effectively

  • Established project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
