Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $49,200.00 - $73,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Are you ready to take the wheel and steer our auction lot operations to new heights? We're looking for a dynamic leader to supervise and direct the daily activities of our lot personnel and ensure the smooth, efficient, and orderly staging and movement of vehicles on the lot and through the sales lanes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Lot Operations: Assist with lot operations to ensure everything runs smoothly before and after sales.
- Supervision: Oversee the vehicle check-in area, coordinating the activities of sale lot drivers, check-in personnel, lane captains, and other lot operations employees.
- Vehicle Movement: Ensure efficient lot operations by managing the movement of vehicles from check-in to the sale lanes, making sure they are received, stocked-in, numerated, and parked in the proper areas.
- Customer Service: Provide top-notch service and resolve any issues that arise.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain lot operations equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Problem Solving: Monitor lot damage and work with the Operations Manager to resolve potential issues.
- Coordination: Work with various departments to schedule and prepare vehicles for sale, ensuring accurate and efficient vehicle check-in and proper sequencing.
- Team Leadership: Direct the work of lot operations employees, prepare work schedules, expedite workflow, assign duties, and monitor work for accuracy and adherence to policies.
- Employee Development: Assist the manager in counseling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job performance, and conducting performance appraisals.
- Safety Commitment: Demonstrate a commitment to safety by following all safety and health procedures and supporting safety activities.
- Staffing and Performance: Review work volumes, plan and monitor staffing levels, and develop strategies for improvement.
- Leadership: Lead by example, champion company values, and ensure all employees are treated with respect.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in a related field (automotive shop preferred). Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 3 years of experience; a master's degree and 1 year of experience; or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience.
- Strong communication and interaction skills.
- Competent supervisory and organizational skills.
- Good computer and software knowledge.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
- Physical abilities to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, climb, and perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock hazards, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Moderate noise level.
- Exposure to all weather conditions.
