This is an opportunity to work on the Digital Identity platform that acts as an enabler for all NAB’s digital channels and constitutes the InfoSec platform for key initiatives such as Open Banking which signals the first step into the implementation of CDR here in Australia and will form a blueprint for CDR implementations into other industries in the coming years.
In addition to your strong technical capability, you will be a proven team player, independent thinker and have a collaborative attitude towards your work and colleagues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and support enterprise database platforms (primarily PostgreSQL) in a highly available environment
Perform database performance tuning, optimization and capacity management
Support database deployments, upgrades and migrations across environments
Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents in production (including on-call support)
Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to improve reliability, scalability and automation
Contribute to continuous improvement of database standards, practices and tooling
MANDATORY TECHNICAL SKILLS
7+ years’ experience as a DBA with PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
Proven experience supporting high-volume, critical production systems
Strong experience in enterprise directory and identity data platforms such as Active Directory, Oracle Unified Directory, ForgeRock OpenDJ, Ping Directory Services or eTrust/CA Directory
Solid experience in database performance tuning, troubleshooting and optimisation
Experience managing large-scale, highly available production database systems
Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills
Experience with database deployment, migration and lifecycle management
NICE-TO-HAVE TECHNICAL SKILLS
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, SAML)
Experience with enterprise security concepts (TLS, PKI, networking)
Scripting skills (Bash or similar)
