Job Summary
The Network Configuration Engineer’s duties involve configuring Comcast Business services for our customers • Configure Cisco routers, Fortinet firewalls, SDWAN devices and NIDs using standard, non-standard and custom templates.

Core Responsibilities
- Advance level working knowledge in configuring IPv4/IPv6 routing, switching and protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Radius/LDAP, IPsec, GRE, NAT, 802.1q, QOS, VRRP/HSRP, Layer 2 VPLS, SSL VPN and SDWAN.
- Advance level working knowledge in configuring SD-WAN devices such as Silver Peak and Fortinet
- Be able to do configurations on Cisco routers, Fortinet firewalls and Nokia Service Routers
- Working knowledge in Cloud Providers such as AWS, Azure and Google etc.
- Ability to read and understand the network diagrams and designs and then do configurations accordingly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Communicates clearly and in an understandable manor with a wide range of people such as peers, managers, customers, vendors, distributors and other teams.
- Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves configuration problems in a timely manner
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize several projects and tasks at one time
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other teams.
- Must be a team player, to provide input to other team members, and accept feedback
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience working in LAN/WAN implementation or support role (Implementation/troubleshooting responsibilities include routers, switches, firewalls, and NIDs)
- CCNA and/or NSE-7 certification is preferred
