Job Description:
What you’ll do:
Champion Life Saving Rules and ensure they are embedded in every phase of project and service execution
Influence, mentor, and coach P&S leaders and teams to strengthen ownership, accountability, and EHS leadership at every level
Break down silos and barriors and cross borders to collaborate and win as ‘One Team’
Operationalize EHS programs, standards and KPIs across global P&S teams including EHS KPI reporting and analysis processes
Perform EHS data and trend analysis, provide timely information to leadership and develop effective countermeasures
Support Gas Power EHS COE colleagues with EHS auditing, kaizens, procedure development and implementation, and standard work/program development and execution
Focus on continuous improvement through implementation of Lean processes and tools
Ensure EHS events in the P&S Team are managed and escalated as appropriate and evaluated for Read Across opportunities, assist and direct post-EHS-incident investigations, and lead ‘Think Reliability’ analysis
Provide mentoring and support for distributed teams in implementing the Gas Power EHS programs such as Event Management, Life Saving Rules including Life Saving Rule Effectiveness and Validation Checks, Contractor Management (ComplyWorks), EHS Framework and the utilization of the EHS Management System (Gensuite)
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks ensuring hazards are addressed before they impact people or operations
Support project & services employees by providing targeted EHS training and resources; liaise with One Field Services to share best practices and drive alignment across Services populations
Identify and leverage best practices, inspired solutions and lessons learned
Collaborate with EHS and P&S senior leaders to plan, implement, and continuously improve minimum EHS standards, ensuring full alignment with statutory, regulatory, and contractual and GE Vernova and Gas Power requirements.
What will make you stand out:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in science, engineering, IT or equivalent (or a high school diploma/GED with at least seven years of experience in EHS)
7 years EHS experience
2-3 years cross-functional program and/or project leadership experience
Desired Characteristics
Advanced degree in science, engineering, IT or equivalent
Proven ability to analyze data, collaborate, influence and drive priorities across cross-functional teams
Experience working in a matrix reporting organization, influencing and motivating diverse teams to achieve a unified goal
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside GE Vernova (customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies)
Proficient on Microsoft Office applications and IT systems
Experience with computer database, web-based and/or digital applications
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, problem solving, project management and organizational abilities
Excellent customer service, focus and time management skills
Strong decision making and critical thinking skills
Learning and continuous improvement mentality
Ability to travel (up to 25%)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,100.00 and $188,500.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
