The Treasury Processing Executive is responsible for the accurate processing, verification, and authorization of Conventional and Islamic Money Market and Fixed Income transactions. This role involves the full trade processing and settlement of Islamic products for Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, and Structured Products. A key function is to ensure strict compliance with BNM guidelines, internal policies, and Shariah requirements. The executive also performs daily reconciliation of all payments, receipts, and securities holdings with BNM, and is responsible for the timely submission of management and regulatory reports.

This role reports to the Manager of Treasury Processing.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Functional (job responsibilities)
  • Process and authorize transactions for a wide range of financial instruments. This includes Interbank lending/borrowing, Short-Term Placements (both conventional and Islamic), Banker's Acceptances, Negotiable Instrument Deposits (NID), and Fixed Income (Government bonds and Private Debt Securities). The role also covers Islamic products such as Forex, Profit Rate Swaps, and Structured Products.
  • Provide custody services for Fixed Income to Hong Leong Group companies, which includes managing proper billing and safekeeping fees.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of payments in Murex against EPP to ensure transactions are in "ACK" status. Reconcile BNM accounts related to all treasury transactions.
  • Update the Global Markets Middle Office on any changes to counterparty settlement instructions. You will also prepare audit confirmation letters and have access to the Murex treasury system to view customer information as needed.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and audit confirmation letters as required.
  • Participate in the implementation and enhancement of new Money Market and Islamic products.
  • Handle any other tasks and relief duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Jobholder Requirements

  • Malaysian citizen. 

Education/Qualification

  • Degree in Business and Finance, Economics, Banking or any related fields. 

Experience/Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in the Financial Services Industry, with a focus on Treasury operations, is preferred.

  • Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Good understanding of Treasury Financial Instrument and the settlement process.

  • Proven excellence in planning, organizational, and time management abilities, coupled with strong execution skills.
