Background
The position is based in the Spanish office of Jupiter Asset Management International within our European sales department. Based in Madrid, you will be responsible for supporting the Spanish sales team and report to the Country Head of Iberia.
To this end, you will work with our local Sales Support, Channel Marketing and Sales team responsible for Iberia Discretionary, Advisory and Institutional businesses, our Client Service team in London as well as other teams in Europe and at the head office in London.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting and servicing existing and potential clients in Spain and Portugal, such as funds of funds, multi-managers, banks, fund networks or pension funds.
This role will act as the first point of contact for the sales team
Preparing and following up on client meetings, regular mailings and reports and answering client enquiries by phone and email.
Active maintenance of our internal CRM system (Salesforce) and active use for campaigns.
Help coordinate and organise events, roadshows and other activities with clients and portfolio managers in collaboration with our local Marketing Channel Manager and Events team in London.
Responsibility for operational aspects of the sales activity in collaboration with the International Client Service team, RFP team, our rebate team and outsourced TA function in Luxembourg and Dublin.
Ensure that all open client matters are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Desired Skills / Experience
Proven experience in sales support (client service / sales support) in the Iberian funds market.
Fluency in Spanish and English (essential). Portuguese is a bonus.
Good knowledge of SICAV and UCITS fund structures and their client servicing aspects (distribution agreements, fund data management, etc.).
Some understanding of local regulations and compliance guidelines is an advantage.
Interest in investment funds, financial markets and requirements of qualified investors.
Ability to work in a team and build good working relationships with colleagues.
Multitasking capability and the ability to manage a large number of small projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated and able to work both alone and in a team.
