Role Overview:

A talented and highly motivated Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our growing Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and quality engineering, with a focus on test automation and continuous integration (CI). As a Senior SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through advanced test frameworks and automation strategies

About the role:

Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts across various application layers (UI, API, and backend services).

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross developers, functional teams and other QA team members to understand requirements and ensure that test plans align with feature design and functionality.
  • Testing Strategy: Define and implement testing strategies that encompass functional, regression, integration, and automation.
  • Code Quality & Reviews: Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor junior team members to promote best practices in test automation.
  • Test Execution & Reporting: Execute automated test suites and analyze results. Troubleshoot and debug test failures to identify root causes and drive them to resolution.
  • Quality Advocacy: Act as an advocate for software quality, identifying areas for improvement in both the product and the development processes.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Provide clear and comprehensive documentation of test cases, results, and defect reports to ensure transparency and traceability.

About you:

  • 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with at least 3 years in a senior SDET role.
  • Experience in at least one programming language (Java, Python, etc.).
  • Proficient in test automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation (e.g., Jenkins, Github).
  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams to define requirements and ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to document issues, risks, and progress clearly.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiar with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing in cloud environments.
