Summary of Job:

An Appliance Service Technician installs and troubleshoots washers, ranges and other large appliances for their customers. They need to know how to connect water or gas lines, and how to check for leaks once the appliances are installed. Service technicians must repair or replace any defective components found in appliances. They instruct their customers on how to operate the appliances properly. They must know how to dismantle and reassemble appliances to make their diagnosis. Appliance repair technicians must also provide outstanding customer service, have good communication skills and have the ability to work in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • You must be able to work one Saturday a month.
  • You must have at least 3 years of experience in the residential and commercial industry.

Skills and Abilities:

  • EPA Certified
  • Must be AHAM CFC certified
