Position: Estimating Coordinator

Functional Overview

The Estimating Coordinator will report to the Estimating Manager.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing, updating, and closing quotes for material and products from our database system, communicating with employees in functional areas such as purchasing, finance, sales, and operations, and qualifying potential sales leads from our database for our sales team to pursue.  Estimating Coordinators will support our sales team from the office and are NOT expected to travel or cold-call sales leads.  Candidates will report to our Perth Amboy office and receive two hybrid “work-from-home” days after a set probationary period.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work to be quoted by gathering and interpreting material lists, proposals, blueprints, specifications, and/or related documents.
  • Prepares, updates, and closes material and product quotes in our Infor system by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
  • Daily support with incoming quote requests through email and calls.
  • Work closely with sales representatives, architectural representatives, and internal estimating team.
  • Tracking of leads for sales and architectural team within assigned region.
  • Qualifying new sales leads and forwarding potential leads to our sales and architectural team.
  • Support with submittals and request for substitutions.
  • Sending bid projects, specs, and technical documents to our team or customers.
  • Maintaining communication and follow-up on projects, leads, and quotes.
  • Other assignments as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Microsoft Windows and Office expertise include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytic abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate and work independently.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Team player with strong people skills.
  • Positive attitude, excellent worth ethic, integrity, and self-motivation.
