Your Role at Baxter
This is where your work helps create life-sustaining products.
As a Packaging Associate at Baxter, you will support the production of high-quality medical devices by performing packaging and final assembly activities for our Blood Pressure Cuffs product line. In this role, you will help ensure products are packaged accurately, safely, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards before reaching our customers.
Working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team, you will contribute to efficient production operations, maintain inventory and material flow, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help uphold Baxter's commitment to quality, safety, and patient care.
What You'll Be Doing
Package cuffs and other finished products coming from the production line according to established work instructions.
Package, label, and prepare component parts and assemblies for shipment while ensuring product protection and completeness.
Stack and organize boxes on pallets for shipping and storage in accordance with safety and operational procedures.
Maintain inventory levels by replenishing materials and components as needed.
Report inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and quality concerns to Team Leaders.
Inspect products and materials for defects, damage, or nonconforming conditions.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and regulatory requirements.
Complete required training programs and participate in advanced training opportunities.
Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with 6S principles.
Contribute to a Zero Harm culture by following all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Report hazards, near misses, incidents, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and company quality standards.
Shift Information
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Thursday and Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Weekend Plus – First Shift).
What You'll Bring
High School Diploma or GED required.
No prior manufacturing experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Ability to read and understand written instructions, specifications, and work procedures.
Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills.
Ability to identify product defects and quality concerns.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Basic problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and workstations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25–55 pounds depending on the workstation.
Team lifting or lifting equipment is required for items over 40 pounds.
Perform repetitive motions including lifting, twisting, bending, reaching, and handling materials.
Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to package products and operate equipment.
Possess close visual acuity to inspect products and identify defects.
Ability to distinguish color-coded components and indicators where required.

This position is located within a regulated manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are essential.

Compensation is determined based on several factors including relevant skills and experience, tenure, business line, and geographic location.
