We have a permanent Marketing Manager, Customer Communications role available in the Regulatory Communications team in the 1:1 Marketing Chapter. The role is accountable for delivering, maintaining and optimising complex data-driven customer contact strategies and on-brand communications to help meet our regulatory obligations.  

 

Sitting within a marketing centre of excellence, you will work and plan collaboratively with your squad in the Everyday Banking domain. Additionally, you will work closely with other internal teams including our internal creative agency, Campaign Delivery, Business Banking and Risk & Compliance, leveraging our world class technology and capability to create hyper-personalised and relevant communications for our customers.   

 

You will be responsible for ensuring that all marketing activity aligns to our business priorities, goes out on time, adheres to business processes and meets our targets.

The RBS Marketing Team leads all marketing for the Retail Bank to meet the needs of our customers and our regulatory obligations. Through an intimate understanding of the market, our customers and our business, we partner with internal and external stakeholders to design, deliver and optimise world class marketing initiatives.  

 

You will specifically be responsible for:  

  • Collaborating with the product owners in the Everyday Banking domain and other regulatory & compliance business units to support the development of marketing strategies in line with brand, product and customer considerations.  

  • Using data, insights and best practice to lead the development and optimisation of contact strategies, and deliver end-to-end execution including content creation and approval, briefing creative and delivery teams and testing.     

  • Working across a range of direct marketing and bank-owned channels, including eDM, direct mail, SMS, CommBank, NetBank and the CommBank app.  

  • Ensuring all communication consistently meets brand guidelines, compliance requirements and are prepared in accordance with our standard operating procedures.  

  • Utilising compelling performance insights across marketing, business and customer experience data to inform marketing opportunities and continuous improvement.  

  • Tracking and reporting on the performance of your marketing campaigns against benchmarks and wider business targets. Including preparing presentations for socialisation with senior stakeholders.

  • Developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders for the delivery of marketing campaigns.  

  • Staying abreast of the external operating environment to ensure campaigns meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.  

  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of industry trends, sharing insights and knowledge across the business.  

  • Processing invoices in a timely manner to ensure effective management and adherence to budget.  

  • Working on capability projects within the 1:1 Marketing Chapter to improve and advance the craft of 1:1 Marketing.   

 

We're interested in hearing from people who demonstrates: 

  • Integrated marketing and communications experience with a focus on targeted below the line marketing.  

  • A passion for customer data, insights and results to inform effective campaigns and optimisations.  

  • Regulatory communications experience (highly desirable) 

  • Highly developed stakeholder management, project management, analytical, and strong verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Growth mindset driving an ability to be agile, and solutions focused in a fast-paced environment.  

  • A sound risk-management mindset – all CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.  

  • A tertiary qualification, ideally with a marketing focus.
