We are looking for a Director of Marketing Analytics to help lead our efforts to measure and optimize our CRM and SEO programs. If you are passionate about generating channel and user insights, using data to identify growth opportunities, and working with senior Marketing stakeholders to develop robust strategies, this is an exciting opportunity for you!
You will be responsible for guiding the measurement approach, insights, and strategy for our organic marketing channels, elevating how we retain our existing customers through email and push marketing, improving our ability to capture valuable offsite traffic through SEO, and helping develop new initiatives to increase customer frequency and LTV.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Analytics & Strategic Finance. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. The Marketing Analytics team partners closely with leads across the Marketing org and Product & Engineering to identify and pursue growth opportunities, measure the impact of our efforts, and optimize our marketing investments.
More broadly, the Analytics team at Etsy helps drive the success of our partners by providing meaningful insights, industry-leading measurement techniques, and access to the metrics, data, and tools needed for decision-making and optimization. We partner with our peers through all stages of development: identifying initial opportunities, analyzing the impact of our efforts, and highlighting improvement areas. Ultimately, the team’s work strengthens Etsy and helps continuously improve the Etsy experience.
What does the day-to-day look like?
Lead Analytics teams responsible for delivering measurement techniques and actionable insights to help improve our CRM and SEO programs
Collaborate with leads across Marketing, Product, and Engineering to develop our near-term roadmap and long-term strategy for increasing customer retention and capturing more high-quality offsite traffic via SEO
Present key insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders across the company
Raise the skill level of our Analytics function through the introduction of strong practices, processes, tools and close mentorship of both direct reports and broader team

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
8+ years of experience leading marketing analytics initiatives
Significant experience contributing to customer retention efforts, leveraging propensity modeling and data-driven insights to identify the key actions and investments that will improve customer LTV
Experience supporting offsite SEO initiatives, including familiarity with SEO-specific tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Semrush) and experimentation
Strong track record of high impact strategic contributions
Proficiency with SQL, Looker, R/Python
Experience with large datasets and using data to influence business decisions
Experience presenting to senior leadership, distilling technical insights into crisp and compelling narratives
Excellent judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and capacity to make data-driven recommendations in ambiguous situations
